I'm really looking at getting a Taurus Millenium Pro PT 145 in stainless, but I don't wanna get burned. Does anybody know how much a GOOD deal on one of these would be?

The one Pro I saw was selling at retail price, $409. Not many around here yet. I want a Pro too, but I can wait.

I had experience with the pt-140. It sucked, I don't mean a little I mean about the worst gun I have ever been around. The trigger felt like the pull was around 20 pounds or so. After about a week the safety broke off the gun. I might have gotten a lemon but I couldn't wait to find a sucker to take that one off my hands.

Was it a plain PT-140? or a PT-140 Millenium? or a PT-140 Millenium Pro? All 3 are different.
Zeke- you might want to ask them the same question over on pistolsmith dot com and find out what version they were talking about. The Millenium Pro supposedly overcomes all the shortcomings of its predecessors. That remains to be seen. I just know as soon as a stainless version with night sights shows its face, it's coming home with me.

A buddy looked a PT145 just after I bought mine.
He said the trigger felt gritty.
I only had the "plain" PT145, but it had one of the best triggers that I've shot.
(It reminded me of a Glock trigger, and I like Glock triggers.)
The gun was accurate, recoiled about like a 9mm, and was lightweight.
If they have solved the frame problems, (and early reports sound like they have), a Pro should be a good gun for CCW and the range.
