Glock 17 Gettin' Pimp!

I purchased a 2nd generation Glock 17 police trade (Galveston TX PD) today for $300 (95% condition)and now its off to get a grip reduction and beavertail added. I tore the gun apart and cleaned out all the axle grease they used to lube the shooter. I was thinking about adding some Hiviz sights to finish the package off for IPSC/IDPA competition. Any one have any ideas?

Either Dawson fiber-optics sights in the variation you like best, or Heinie Straight-Eight Slant Pro night sights.

I'll 2nd the Heinie Straight-Eight Slant Pro's I shoot them good. I've even converted my other hand guns to an over-under dot because they worked so well for me.

Now that's Fireman's Gun!! If I paint my gun red won't that draw the other shooter's attention to how poorly I shoot at times??? I was thinking an urban camo (blue/gray and black).

Are you having the work done at Robar in Phoenix?

I have had them do 3 Glocks for me. Not the grip reduction, but I did have them round the front of the trigger guard (I HATE squared trigger guards) and knock off the finger grooves on my Glock 26.

They do an awesome job there, and turn around is usually 1/2 as long as they say they will have the gun.

As for the sites...I can only say I use Meps, so I have no experience with the fiber optic hi-vis types.
