Glock 22 safety system

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread. I learned about the 3 part safety system, the cocking of the striker, and that a holster is important as a 4th safety feature. When I first came into contact with my Glock 22 it was loaned to me by a friend for me to take a firearms class. I needed an autoloader because the State laws required an autoloader for the license to carry either a revolver or an autoloader. I thought I would fire the pistol a few times and return it to the owner but it didn't work that way. Like the example targets posted by BDS on my very first target I fired six rounds. The first shot was left of the black and high as I was getting used to the trigger and finding the point of impact. I changed my sighting to a 6 o'clock hold and the point of impact was in the center of the black. I had fired five consecutive shots into a 2 inch group at 25 yards using Winchester 180 grain bullets. The whole experience was a surprise to me and I quickly purchased the pistol.
