Glock 27 - Generations / versions?

As alluded to in a previous post, I'm new to the Glock world. I recently added a G27 with s/n BSTxxx to my safe.

I'm trying to figure out what updates have been made to this model. Mine has finger grooves, but no checkering in them.

I don't care much about aesthetics, but I am curious if there have been any durability changes or recalls on the early G27s.

So far, I really like it. The factory adjustable sights have got to go, but it's shot well for the 400 rounds I've put through it.

The magazine followers for the .40s have been updated a number of times and the current revision is #8 followers. Just for your information. As for any major updates, other than the followers, I am not aware of any. Ask this question over at GlockTalk for a more thorough review.
