Thanks for the link that will probably help out some of the shooters with smaller hands. It does not look much different than the newer Glocks I have seen even though many people have said they are ugly. But then many people do not like polymer guns.

Looks good. I like the texture but I want to know how the new recoil springs handle. I wonder if they lessen the recoil.

I like poly pistols, I even own one (H&K P30). But I never really was a fan of the Glock. I know they are reliable and all, I just don't care for the ergonomics much, JMHO. I was hoping that the 4th Gen Glock was going to be much different than the previous designs, but my hopes were let down

If that grip texture is anything like the 3rd Gen RTF models, it is WAY to abrasive for my tastes...

I wonder when these will go on sale to the GP???

I took this statement straight from the same blog I got the link from:

"Ed’s Public Safety in Georgia has received some Gen4 Glocks in inventory, and wasted no time posting photos, including some good close-ups of the new grip texture, magazine release, and backstraps."

The statement reads "inventory", so I'm assuming they are available at present or at least at that shop, no?

The standard 3rd generation Glock frame uses the RTF1 texture.
What you are calling the 3rd gen RTF uses the RTF2 texture.
The Gen4 Glock frame uses the RTF3 texture.

I'm not a Glock nut or anything but they look pretty much like the 3rd Gen Glocks. Don't skewer me or anything, just my opinion. Guess I expected them to look..... I don't know..... futuristic. Am I alone?

Im sorry, but this is a very very lame attempt at getting on the adjustable backstrap market.

but being glock, they will sell tons of them.

Now, if they were smart and could fit a backstrap to adjust for that weird glock grip angle, it would have taken that argument out of all glock haters mouth. Too bad.

Dissapointing...
I'd go with an M&P over a gen 4 Glock. Just my opinion...

The M&P is gaining momentum and climbing in popularity, And rightfully so IMO. Listening to all the gun related Podcasts, Blogs, Forums and Shooting ranges.... People are really starting to eat them up.

I love my M&P's

I'm just hoping I can still get my hands on the normal Glocks for a few years yet, I have a few I'm interested in but the 4th Gen is not inspiring to me.

I've never been a Glock fan, but respect what they've done for the Polymer gun market. It's always hard to argue with success...
