A month ago I bought a new Glock 26 as my EDC. It replaced my original G26 which was purchased in Hawaii in 1995 when it first came out. I then bought two new Gen 5 Mags (red follower) with +2 Glock extensions. Mags are Glock and in the original Glock packaging. Mags were extremely hard to load with 12 rnds. When I shot with them I experienced my first ever Glock malfunctions - failure to feed. One mag was very difficult to fully insert… spring resistance. Both failed to feed 7th and 9th rnd. Shooting companion said to let them sit fully loaded for a week , unload and load for another week. I luckily have Glock +2 mags from my earlier Glock. Comments / help appreciated. Thanks. Jim

Any issues with the stand 10 round magazines? Letting them sit loaded may help. That still shouldn’t happen.

Not unusual at all for factory mags...especially with the +2 extensions

A lot of pressure from the new mags on the underside of the slide. Load the magazines and let them sit a couple days. Then load and unload them many times for the next couple days. You should be able to load them easier by hand and then test fire again. Those 12 round magazines have some tight heavy springs in them.

Buy some MagPul 12 round mags for it. They only extend a tiny bit more than standard 10 round mags and less than a 10+2 factory mag. They have just enough room to get your little finger on the grip. They work perfectly in my gun.

How a

How are those 12 round mags anyway? I have wondering about the 15 round magpul as well.
I like them a lot. My favorite way to shoot a G26 is with a G19 mag and XGrip sleeve, but the Magpul 12 round is a close second and favorite when I carry it.

ETA: I’ve never had an issue with any PMAG, either AR, AK, or Glock platform. They all work great.

YMMV
