First time poster, long time reader.

I recently purchased a new Glock 30 from a local (and trusted) gun shop. I noticed yesterday that the exposed portions of the 10 round factory magazine cant a little to the right when inserted into the weapon. This is clearly visible when I insert a Glock 21 magazine. Fully loaded magazines are less crooked in general.

The magazine seems to seat straight in the gun itself, and the weapon shoots fine, though I did have one failure to feed issue during the first range session. The slide must have failed to go fully forward because the trigger did not reset.

Is this normal? Did I get a lemon?

Thanks in advance for your time.

I think I know what you mean. Some older Glock mags even "swell" when loaded (non-drop free), and the location of the mag catch engagement can snug the magazine to one side. I don't think you have a problem, unless it affects function. It is just something that might be more noticeable on some guns, but also something that no one looks for or cares about (unless it DOES affect function).

Thanks, problem may have gotten worse.

Thanks to everyone for all your advice/info.

I plan to take pictures and post them as soon as I can (I'm techno-declined).

The more I look at this thing, the more I think the grip itself just isn't straight. It (the grip) doesn't meet the slide at the right angle. The magazine sits correctly.

This is the second glock 30 I've owned. Great pistols. The first one ran smoothly, no problems, and with this one I've so far had 5 FTF (took it to the range today, Winchester White Box FMJ, in all cases, 100 rounds, 4 ftf, me and one other fine pistol shooter). The gun cycled normally, but the slide must not have been all the way forward or something because the trigger failed to reset. I don't know. I hate to think I got a lemon. My first pistol was just so awesome.

This may be something I take up with Glock (or should I go to the shop first?)
