Since i happened to see that my next post would be number 223, thought it would be about my ar.

Right now, its a bone stock 20in ar with a2 stock.

1. Stock is getting old and faded, want a telescopic/adjustable. Where can i find the cheapest one? there was one for $24ish on cheaperthandirt.com but it had horrible reviews. I spose if there aren't any cheap reliable ones i shouldn't be stingy. Are there major brands i should watch out for.

2. I want a red dot. I don't need to do any long distance shooting, but it would be nice if i could have something faster than iron sights for things, say 50 yards away. Again, on the cheap. BSA? My carry handle is fixed, how can i attach it?

3. I want some sort of tac light and laser. I think i know what direction im going with that. Just, if you can go ahead and try to talk me out of these things.

4. For some reason i only have one mag right now (lyou might have it, biggiesmalls). Wheres the cheapest source. I'm thinking of just ordering 3 or so. Too little? too many? How many mags do you havefor your ar15 and why?

And just to let you know, i also am going to get a hogue slip on and vertical foregrip.

Wheres the cheapest source.

Dont go cheap on mags. The $10 cheapos are crap, I learned that the hard way.

I highly recommend these:

They're made by a company called "Defense Solutions Group". They're a supplier to the military, and the mags function great. So far I have about 10 of them.

I also have a half dozen mags by Bushmaster and NHMTG (Colt's supplier), and they work well too.

1. I think the adjustable look lopsidded on 20inch rifles but whatever floats your boat. http://www.cdnninvestments.com/ar15m162.html Leave the regular stock!!!!

2. i never had any luck mounting a red dot that high(on carry handle) on a AR but this would work to mount just aobut any dot. http://www.bushmaster.com/shopping/scopes/eot-12.asp

3. http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/37980-46117-1968.html

4. Get mags with magpul followers, great reliability. http://www.cproductsllc.com/Merchan..._Code=cp&Product_Code=175&Category_Code=30rnd

And for a vertical fore grip I hear these are very sturdy- http://tangodown.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=26&products_id=49
I have a cheap $20 one on mine and it works fine though.

Well, without magazines you have a fancy straight-pull bolt action. Also one of the weak points of the AR15 is that the magazines sometimes suffer damage. So I would have enough magazines to meet my needs and then some spares to replace them.

If you want a cheap light, a $28 Surefire G2 is tough to beat. You can either add a rail to your handguard and mount it in some cheap scope rings or buy a SOtech light buckle for $13 and strap it to your handguard.

You can get some really nice stuff for about twice your $100 budget for accessories. There is so much stuff out there from so many manufacturers that you could easily put a nice red dot scope, collapsable stock, a nice Surefire/1" scope ring set up on a picatinny block, and an inexpensive laser and have a nice and fairly durable set up. AR accessories are like cowboy boots. You get the value you pay for.

As far a s quantity of mags, I have over 35 for my 3 AR's. I like to have spares, and sometimes I buy a few when I come accross a deal.

Bunch of decent mags there, last month they had the Stoner mags for $9.99 ea. so I bought 6 of them, so far they have worked ok, but I've only had time to run one magazine full through each. I've got three .223 rifles that use AR mags, I now have eight 20 rounders and twelve 30's, plus two 5's for hunting. For my Beowulf and 6x45 I have two mags each dedicated to those uppers.

Basically I've just bought enough so that if an anti-constitution party takes over and bans them again I've got all I need. I don't have any plan to have to use that many at one time, but I do keep them all loaded.

There's a guy on ar15.com named TheTic (or something like that), that sells the cheapest collapsible I would use. Around $70.

Everyone in my shooting circle, has had a 10-20% failure rate with Cproducts mags. I won't buy any more of them. Check the sponsor area on ar15.com. Someone like Bravo Company, or 44mag.com, or similar usually has 10 USGI mags for $100 or so.

Based on your post, I would say get 10 USGI mags. The keyword is USGI. Cproducts didn't pass USGI testing. Brownells no longer uses CP as there "house" mag, Everyone I know who has them, has problems with them. This is what they call a pattern. Anyways I'm starting to drift...Get 10 USGI mags, and a case (1000 rds) of ammo, and take a carbine class. Then go over your shopping list, and see what changes for you. Most of what you listed is pure junk that will fall apart shortly.
