My wife came home from work last night and informed me one of her coworkers is selling a Mak for $150.00 I've yet to find out the nation of origin, but she is supposed to give me a call today. From my best estimate regardless I should pick it up. Opinions please.

It sounds like its too good to be true unless its really worn out. Make sure its a mak and not that polish piece of crap too. For reference, east germans are going for high 300's, and bulgarians mid 200's-300 depending on condition, maybe a bit higher depending on who is selling. I'm not sure what the russian ones are going for but should be somewhere in between. Hope this helps.

If it is a true Mak and in decent shape, $150 is a steal even if it only has one mag and no holster. Mags and holsters are still cheap, as far as I know.

Allright, as soon as I get the full info I'll probably pick it up. I plan on going to do some serious shooting this weekend after the NRA schpeel anyway.

If she says it is an East German, do your best to sound nonchalant about it. Practice your poker face in the mirror before going over to buy it. Wait until the seller is out of sight before jumping up and down.

It's a Russkie, he bumped the price down to $100......It's mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:p I suppose my post over in rifle country is panning out. I oughtta make an offering of lead projectiles this weekend:D
