A local range owner has set up a small running course at his place. The scenario will start with the shooter sitting in a car then hopping out and running the course.

There will be multiple targets, and places to take "cover", as well as shooting through a window, well a piece of plywood with a window sized hole cut in it!

It will be scored, but again, is just for fun. The range owner is just trying to come up with some new ideas to help keep the members interested.

As soon as he told me about the idea I was salivating! I can't wait to go!

Has anyone here done anything like this?

"...anyone here done anything like this..." It's called IPSC/IDPA. Both are widely played shooting games. Neither are in the least bit 'practical'. Both require a safety course that ensures safe firearm handling from a holstered pistol.

Ahhhhh I see. I am not a real big pistol guy but have often seen the references to IDPA/IPSC.

Gotta do a little reasearch now. Thanks!
