Good Idea to buy AR parts kits?

I was at a gun show yesterday. Prices were horrible on most things a pound of powder 55 bucks, no primers, ammo was crazy as expected, Guns were nunts in most cases. I found only one deal. I bought a Iver Johnson top break revolver in very good condition with about 70 percent nickel for 150 out the door not tax no BGC. Not that it would have mattered. Its not a steal but it was a very fair price. The trigger spring was broken but that is an easy fix. Very high prices on some things. One old man walked in with an FNFAL and the first table vendor jumped out and asked what he was asking. He said 700 and it comes with 10 mags. He bought it on the spot.

Charlie a word of advice next time guns and ammo are deep in the toilet like a year ago, buy it and stock it up.

Again, I don't have that problem. I bought what I needed for me some time ago... guns, ammos, loading components... and, yes, toilet paper. Luck favors the prepared. I have what I need. No, I don't have 200K rounds of loaded ammos, but when I go to the range, I don't fret over shooting my last 50 box of 9mm.

If you're hedging against a possible AWB (which I don't think will happen - they MIGHT squeeze through universal bg checks but I don't think an AWB can pass), then I'd say you're better off buying lowers. There hasn't been any big push to regulate parts and if that comes its a ways down the road.

Just because they really didn't cost that much ($49 each) I recently grabbed 5 more Anderson lowers just in case. I have a feeling that if an AWB does ever pass what we'll see is most new commercial development being in various types of uppers for already produced AR lowers given how many of them are already in circulation.

DEL-TON has rifle kits for $450. Their stuff has been very good quality.
