I did a search but couldn't find anything that really answered this question. I'm looking for any local shops or gun stores that anybody here might know about that stocks and sells most or all major reloading componets. (Powders, primers, etc....)
I'm very aware of both Cabelas and Bass Pro here in Fort Worth. I've frequented Cabelas quite often, but hate the drive all the way to Denton with traffic and all. Not to mention, the prices at Cabelas are not always the most inviting, and getting help can be a real PITA.

I've visited a few other local gun shops but those have been even more expensive than Cabelas with thier ridiculous prices.

So does anybody here know of any place that is competively priced and not so out of the way?

Thanks

Ditto on what Jeadams said. Alpine probably has the best selection or at least they did when I lived in the area. Don't know about Elk Castle, when I lived in the Ft. Worth area it had another name at that time and I quit doing business there on account one of the sales people there (only one) was a rude know it all. But that is my opinion and you should try the place out anyway.

The problem with Alpine is that it is a little out of the way to get to but they do carry a lot of stuff and they also have a range.

I didn't realize Alpine was still open. Last time I was there was in 83. Most all of the time I bought at gun shows. There seemed to be about one a month.

I've been to Elk Castle, nice selection and very close to me, but I noticed they were a bit pricier than even Cabelas.

Thanks fellas, I'll keep an eye out for anything else, in the meanwhile it looks like I'll still be hitting up Cabelas and Bass Pro.

Arlington Arms is out of business. Only gun store in town is now over at 287 called the Iron Mine. No reloading gear yet but he's just starting up.

i know its 45+ minutes away, but southwest reloading in downtown mesquite has a very good inventory, and the prices aint half bad either. (cheaper for me to go there that order online and pay shipping most of the time.)

they are a small outfit, but usually have a nice stock, well layed out by caliber.

make sure you call beforehand if you decide to make the trip because they are closed on 2 days of the week, i think its monday and tuesday.

From Hodgdon's website:

2-K Pawn & Gun
P.O. Box 716, 1605 Bus. 380 W
Decatur, Texas 76234
United States
940-627-7800

I have not been there, but did talk to them on the phone during the shortage. Then Cabelas turned up with what I needed. Seems like 2-K's prices were reasonable.
