We went to one of our best places today . It’s 3000 acres of privately owned land . We probably only walked 10 acres of it and killed most of the rabbits in a 3 acre area . Five of us were hunting and we had 8 dogs down . They ran great and the hunters did good . We went 10 for 10 . I cleaned my 3 and now they are soaking in some salt water . Nice. Been a long time since I’ve followed a beagle…
Just curious, how do y’all Cook your rabbit? I’ve had gravy. I’ve had fried. And… few other variations.

I had an older friend that use to take me hunting as a kid and all the way up until he died . He was just a couple years younger than my dad and also one of my dad’s friends that he grew up with . He died a couple years ago and I miss him . I took his grandson hunting today . He got 2 rabbits . He was also driving his grandads truck . Seeing that truck brought back good memories .

My 2 dogs ran like they were tied to the rabbit today . Probably the best run that I have seen from them . They ran it through water without slowing down a bit . They ran it for over 3 hours today . I was just waiting for a low in the run to pull them off when they caught it . That was the first one that they have ever caught , they are not real fast hounds . I saw the rabbit more than a few times and it didn’t look fatigued . I hate that they caught it because that was a good smelling rabbit and 1 less for them to run and the numbers seem low here .
