The Grand Power K100, called GP6 is supposedly now being imported by STI.
Anybody got one yet? How much?

nice

sure looks nice... priced at $656 with 2 magazine. 26 ounces, sure looks promising.

Its from Slovakia, made in 9mm only.

The rumour I've heard is that it's design was initiated after Czechoslovakia split into Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Slovakia, whose military and police were of course still using the CZ-75 pistol, wanted their own domestically produced pistol, and since the Ceska Zbrojovka factory that made the CZ-75 was located in the newly separate Czech Republic, they had to come up with a new design to make in Slovakia. Of course this is just a rumour.

The quality seems to be pretty good. It will be interesting to see how U.S. shooters like it compared to the CZ-75.

Wheres it from. And I suspect the same thing Kimber is pulling.

That would be past tense. Pulled. Kimber has axed their project. I suspect, at best, they had a prototype or 2.

This looks like a CZ75 derivative. Maybe a rebadging of the polymer Witness line? I hope not.

STI just has a prototype in country for showing to the feds to beg permission to sell them here.

The GP6 is in the hands of the BATF for approval. They've estimated a mid-May release. All other hurdles have been cleared and guns are being built! We were able to take one to the "Space City Challenge" down around Houston this past weekend. Based on customer response there and the test firings that we've done here, we think we've got a winner. We'll be getting it out for our domestic Distributors to play with over the next couple of weeks.

Looks like it would be worth $300

You know better than than. Their suggested retail is $657. Probably street will be somewhere around $500. They're going to have to price them at the level of the customer around $400 to get them to move. And that's only if the reviews are outstanding. A local shop got several of Armalite's pistols in when they first came out. Took six months to move them and the owner will now only order them if buyers pay up front. Didn't help that he had CZs for less or about the same price.

It looks pretty good to me, I like the shape of the grip, sort of like a poly CZ molded after the 97B. And if those little panels are anything like the skateboard griptape they resemble, I think it would feel really good.

From what I can see, I like it.

It is not a CZ75 clone

Not a 75 clone. It wouldn't surprise if it does share some parts with the Tanfoglios (mainly hammer trigger stuff). Pretty sure the magazine is a Tanfoglio magazine.

Check out their website. There are some cool videos of the pistol floating around. It is usually referred to as the K100 (GP6 is US market apparently).

It has a rotating barrel lockup.

There's a select fire/burst mode on some models (not ones we can get).

I'd like to pick one up just out of curiosity.

Some youtube videos.
