Today was day two of this year's Carolina Cup; and for those of you who haven't shot it, or didn't shoot it this year, I thought I'd let you know you should try to make it in future!!
We had 196 registered shooters for nine stages on Saturday and another six on Sunday. Facilities included a simulated airplane fuselage for 'counter-terror' scenarios; open bays and forested bays; cars, a bus, and a shoot-house; moving targets on several stages--and one stage on which all six targets moved, appeared and disappeared. Scenarios simulated store and warehouse robberies, car thefts, picnics, campouts, home invasions, bus checkpoints, restaurants, and a high-stakes poker game gone bad.
Frank Glover has dramatically enhanced The Range over the last year, and all 200 shooters (plus some friends and family) had adequate facilities and, more importantly, a fantastic crew of Range and Safety officers headed by Ron Rhoden.
Results and pictures should be available at The Range's improved website within a couple of days, here:

Those of us who live close enough to shoot Frank's regular matches are well aware we have an exceptional facility and resource in The Range; for others of you, do consider traveling to shoot with us next year!!
PS--on a personal high note, I won the Cup for Standard Service Revolvers and was bumped from Sharpshooter to Expert. Whoohoo!
