I did a search on green lasers and it seems there are some advantages (visible in daylight) and some disadvantages like battery life etc. Some of those threads are a few years old. I really don't want to debate laser or no laser. I have a red CT on my XD40sc. I like the thing, especially being grip activated.
I was wondering if there was a green laser for a subcompact that stands above the rest?

Thank you
Mark

I have MANY Crimson Trace and Streamlight TLR-2 lasers, along with a couple other brands, on handguns, shotguns and rifles.
I'm a big laser fan.:D

IMO lasers are low light/dark sighting systems and lose a lot of their speed in daylight.

A couple years ago I bought an expensive Green light laser to try it out.
Now that laser is in my junk box (wish I had a couple Crimson Trace to replace it).

A major problem is at night it is TOO bright. A Red laser beam can not be seen but the Green laser beam is a light show pointing back to the shooter.

During daylight, although the Green dot can be seen the dot is still not bright enough to be INSTANTLY seen and adjusted quickly to the center of the target.
It's likely a good shooter using iron sights will be as accurate and maybe quicker than the laser user in daylight.

This is the reverse in low light/dark using a Red laser. In low light a practiced laser shooter is very fast and accurate.

Of course the Green laser can be used very accurately in daylight, but like I said, reacquiring the target shot to shot is too slow.

From the hip.
