Just out of curiosity I was just wondering what everyone's gun, correction weapon closets (for me) look like. Mine is a little bare but I am working on filling it up ;) .

Just thought I would post this as a celebration of becoming a senior member. :D

I know a guy who has a deadlock on his closet. His dresser is in there with all his clothes as well. Unless you poked around, you wouldn't see all the guns.

A safe can be a very good thing. I got mine once I got a couple of more expensive rifles.

I just don't have the money for a safe right now. I am working on filling up that closet first. However it is on my "wishlist" because that .50 you see in front is worth more than me. :banghead: .

I have empty soft and hard gun cases in my closet that I never bother closing. That'll distract the robber and make him think there are firearms in there while I dive between the bed and nightstand, and pull out my carbine :D

Ammo is kept in ammo boxes underneath and behind my computer desk, against the wall. No reason someone should poke around underneath unless the keyboard cord fell out.

Just renting now, so all I have are my racks on 2 sides of the spare bedrooms walkin closet. That leaves alot of them just leaning willy nilly. Just 3 more years and I'll be in my own home again. Wait 'til you see what I have in store for that.

Mr. LG,

Is that hard case one of those types that are made to strap to an ATV? What brand is it and how do you like it?

Thanks

Yeah it's koplin (older model) hardcase that can be made to fit on an atv with the adaptor. It holds my m40 quite well even though the gun wieghs about 15 pounds. I would highly reccomend it to anyone who wants a really good hardcase that they can take hiking or to the range alike. I got it for 69 or 70 dollars at dicks a couple months ago.

Just picked up a Stack-On 10 gun safe today. Hundred bucks at Dick's. Bolting it to the closet wall tomorrow. Just my 870 and tons of ammo in it now. USP lives in a pistol safe bolted to the bedframe.

I think having the guns locked up while no one's home is the responsible thing to do. I'd hate to surprise a burglar and end up looking down one of my own barrels.

Also, if someone ever stole one of mine and used it on someone, I don't know what I'd do.

well it ain't tig'zackly a closet....

but here is the inside that locker is PACKED and then some stashed and leaned. few more in the house. that plywood is the door. the other pic is the outside of the door. this is in a fenced area containing three full grown german shepards and that door is on firing line with my bedroom window. the door isn't just plywood thats just the filler, angle iron, rebar and sheet steel make up the rest. :what: :) well it is a braging type boastful thread.
