Gun Belts?

Im looking to buy a proper gun belt. Currently I have two crappy el cheapo belts from Old Navy. They look great and work great as everyday belts, but they are a bit flimsy for holding holsters.

Im looking for something that I can use daily at work (dockers or dress slacks, and polos or button downs) and during off hours. shorts, jeans, t shirts etc. While maintaining support for my IWB / OWB holsters. As a side note, I want to keep my belt width at 1.5"

The ones Ive seen in person look more like duty belts, which isnt the look im going for. Any recommendations?

I have one from the Belt Man. I wear it everyday, carrying or not. It looks really nice, is very thick and stiff. I like it a lot.

Try Tandy Leather. They have a fairly large selection of leather belts that are tooled, as well as untooled. They are made to accommodate a number of buckles. The only problem is that you need to dye and seal the leather. They are a great buy as they are not much more than $8 to $12 each.

I got a Belt Man belt used from a member here and it is great! A real improvement over my old Carhartt belt that I used to use. As I'm in college, I can't carry every day, but I still wear it anyway. Only paid about $25 for it too!

I am a big fan of Beltman leather belts and the Wilderness Products Instructor belts. The Beltmans look like a fine casual or even dress belt but have the necessary stiffness to bear the weight of the gun. The Wilderness Instructor does look a little "tactical," to overuse an overused term. The Frequent Flyer belts http://www.thewilderness.com/storepinnacle/index.php?p=product&id=2503 have a less obtrusive buckle and might be more to your liking. This type does have the advantage of infinite adjustability, whereas with a leather belt you are stuck with a given hole. I suggest Beltman's option of seven holes, three quarters of an inch apart, rather than the standard five/one inch.

I've been using Liger belts (marketed by Maxpedition) for about a year now. It's a synthetic material that was originally used in non-leather tack. I have not been able to get the material to sag, warp, twist, or otherwise deform. I do notice that the material doesn't breathe all that well, leaving me sweaty around the waist. They're also too wide for wear with nicer trousers, but work really well with most jeans, khakis/chinos, and my cargo pants I wear to the range.

I own and wear a BeltMan horsehide, a BeltMan bullhide, and a CrossBreed cowhide belt.

The BM horse belt is the best of the bunch, the BM bull is close behind, and the CrossBreed became my work belt for hanging a radio/keys/tools off of and beating the crap out of. All are 1.5" belts, and all fit standard belt loops and standard holster attachment clips.

Dump those department-store belts and get something designed to do more than cinch your pants tighter.

I absolutely hate the way so many belt manufacturers try to force you to accept even-size-only belt sizes.

I wear a Wilson Combat gun belt and it works perfectly well without looking like a duty belt.

I just got a Blackhawk which I am very happy with, only about $37 delivered. I did change the buckle because I didn't like how hard the original was to fasten, I had to bend the belt more than I liked.
