I ordered To Ride, Shoot Straight and Speak the Truth as well as the Gargantuan Gunsite Gossip.

[cooper]March is nigh! We find that [/cooper] I enjoy reading Farnam and Cooper's thoughts on the Internet but not really interested in shooting or tactical manuals and gun magazine tests (handgun on a rest has so and so groups at so and so yards) bore me somewhat.

What other gun-fu philosophy and culture type of books are out there that are similar to Cooper and Farnam's musings?

'In The Gravest Extreme'-Massad Ayoob
'Principles of Personal Defense'-Jeff Cooper
'Armed & Female--Paxton Quigley (NOT for women only!)
'The Gift of Fear'-Gavin DeBecker (Not a gun book;in fact anti-
gun,but excellent for mindset)
'Lead Posioning' & 'True Tales of American Violence'-Chris Pfouts
Supposedly stories from folks who've been on both ends of a gun;
OK,but best taken with a grain of salt.
'Real-World Survival'-Walt Rauch,& 'Guns,Bullets,& Gunfights'-Jim Cirillo
Books by men who've 'been & done'.
'Shootout'-Tony Lesce Dated, but some good info.
'The Seven Myths of Gun Control'-Richard Poe
'The Bias against Guns'-John R. Lott,Jr These last 2 are political & can be
kinda dry in places, but are good ammo for discussion with antis or the
undecided.

A Rifleman Went to War and The EmmGees by HW McBride

Kill or be Killed by Rex Applegate

No Second Place Winner by Bill Jordan
