Found this link to a video of a news cast that goes into the differences between full and semi auto weapons. This is the first time I have ever seen anything like this come out of a media outlet.

This is from KLTV. The ABC affiliate in Tyler, TX.

Here is the link to more news clips dealing with the shooting in Tyler, TX.

These news clips put on the classic media spin we are used to seeing. At least they did include the contrasting view point.

I agree that it's surprising and refreshing to see an honest explanation of guns in a news story, but from a writing standpoint that transcript is painful to read. Can't that station afford an editor for their printed material?

It all started at the term "assault riffle" and went downhill from there.

I saw the second clip earlier, and my impression was, "jeez, how many times can they randomly say "semi-automatic"?

After that, I went out to have a semi-automatic smoke, taking my semi-automatic beverage with me, while watching my semi-automatic dog frolic. Then I went inside and took a fully automatic assault poop.

:neener:

The key is its a time saver, unlike a revolver which you must reload manually, semi automatics use magazines to automatically reload, ejecting the spent shell casing.
O weh mir... I see there's still a bit of confusion here...

Can't view the video, WMP crashes. =/
At least it wasn't embedded in the browser...I'd have lost all 4 of my pages. D=
So, a Norinco Mak 90. Chinese AK clone? I've heard of them, but don't know much about them...couldn't find anything but similars on World Guns.
Edit: Found them on another site, does appear to be an AK clone. Easy to see why people got it confused.

Don't you love your automatic reloading AR-15's? I love mine...

Set down 30 or 40 empty mags and a case of ammo, it just shoots all day.
Great invention.

Unlike my revolver where I have to put the rounds in myself.

Sheesh :banghead:

haha at least their "gun expert" is actually someome who can be in the presence of guns without getting scared. Around here, if they wanted a "gun expert" on the news, they'd find somebody from the VPC or AGC.
