I really like to listen to podcasts when I work out or run, so I am always looking for good podcasts to listen to. I currently listen to a bunch, mostly un-gun related, but I have been listening to Mark Vandenburg's Gun Rights Advocates Podcast recently, which I've found to be interesting.

So, my question is, does anyone else listen to any gun-related podcasts? I am looking for any sort, whether they're about specific guns, 2A rights, whatever. Any suggestions?

NRA should take notice

Not a bad idea actually. I listen to talk radio shows every day on my iPod. That at least keeps me up

to date news-wise. I just subscribe to Dennis Prager and a couple of others at http://www.townhall.com/TalkRadio/ which are free.

The NRA website has videos and articles but nothing about podcasts. It would probably not be a bad idea for them to have subscription capabilities on gun issues.

I've search iTunes as well and can find nothing about the NRA in the podcast area.

Guntalk (www.guntalk.com) is pretty good. Sometimes it will just be call-ins, and sometimes he will have firearm company CEOs or marketing people on.

The show is 3 hours per week, but each hour is only 44 minutes because many of the commercials are already cut out when you listen on your ipod. The host, Tom Gresham, posts here under the name "guntalk."

Go to the web site, and you must download each hour separately for all three hours. Each hour is only 44 minutes long because the other 16 minutes is for local commercials. He also has over six months of show in the archives.

I listen to the JPFO podcast which is VERY good, I also listen to Gun Rights advocates but have a tough time since Marks voice is pretty dry. My favorite podcast is the Ohioians for Concealed Carry podcast. www.OhioCCW.org its done by the Ohio group but talks a lot about national issues.

I also use to HOST GunCast with Kevin Thoman after he got busy. We since have stopped that podcast but I will be restarting my own either under that name or another and I will be more than glad to tell you when it launches.

NRA does do a podcast of sorts called NRANews Audio Channel on iTunes. It is a daily bit that covers one narrow topic or incident and lasts only a few minutes. Wayne LaPierre is the commentator. It's not bad, but I think the NRA is really missing the boat by not having a much longer program available.

I also suggest GunTalk and the Gun Rights Advocates.
