The Gun Rights Policy Conference is coming to Houston, TX Sept. 27-29.

Sponsored by Second Amendment Foundation and the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, this weekend event brings together a lot of the biggest names in gun rights.

A highlight this year will be Emily Miller, award-winning senior editor for opinion at the Washington Times and author of the new book "Emily Gets Her Gun."

Attendance at this event is free, and they give away more than $125 worth of books and materials.

I'll also be in attendance, covering the event for the Examiner and the Gun Mag.com.

Bad timing... that is the same time as the first ever Texas firearms law CLE in Fort Worth. Love to ask SAF what they were thinking endorsing Schumer-Toomey-Manchin though. Houston, TX is probably not the audience I'd pick for that conversation if I were them.

I've attended two previous conferences. There were quite a few interesting speakers. You get a bunch of free books. Well worth the time. Alas, Houston is just too far for me this time.
