I've seen lots of threads here on THR consisting of rants about books, movies, TV shows, etc. that have glaring mistakes about guns. I was reading a new series of books I came across in the library by Laurel K. Hammilton. In it the main charector/narrator at one point talks about her semi-automatic pistol. a Lady Smith. She refers to her extera ammo as Magazines and plants herself in an iscosolese stance. Later in the books several other charactors have guns and while at the moment I can't remember what makes and modles were mentioned but they were all described properly. none were made to sound more thretening or pompus and all were used in realistic manners. Funny. I had to read science-fiction/fantasy to find realism...aint that a kick?
Any one here who enjoys sci-fi/fantasy might concider looking into the Merry Gentry series by Laurell K. Hammilton.
