My mistake if it's in the wrong place. I figured it was relevant because of the at this point unorganized open carrying at political events. That is activism.... Move if necessary.

This is the right place for this post- The whole article was on the activist movement from both sides- Very good article and well balanced. the article didn't even mention the phrase "assault rifle" :)

dont know about the .50 cal sniper rifle though... wth...
 
Yeah that was my favorite part, open carrying leads to mass "brandishing" of .50 cal sniper rifles. One thing that gets me is the new very loose definition of brandish.
 
OK, open-carry is not a good idea, concealed carry is a much better one. We must take steps to legalize it. I will be posting in the next couple of days about my plan, or even tonight, if I am not too tired to do it. The execution is a little complex; but way cheaper and better than kowtowing and lobbying to politicians, and I predict it will be much more effective. The NRA is a multi-million dollar organization; but they did not dare touch Heller, which was one of our biggest victories in recent years. This was a big mistake on their part, and I'm downright angry about it.

I'm not saying do not support them; but there are better ways to accomplish things.

Keep on keeping on...
