I got a great deal on 8 pounds of H 414 and would like to load up some 150 gr Hornady Interlock bullets for my Marlin 336. Anybody have the load data for this round or is this powder too slow for the .30-30? I've been using
A 2520 but the Lee and Lyman manuals don't have the data for this powder. Thanks

The best all `round powder I found is 3031 for the dirty-dirty !!!

414/760 is a powder for larger capacity cartridges .

YMMV

H4895 for those 150gr hornady bullets my friend.... I have loaded more than a few of them, and have not been disappointed with the results.

I know, you have the 8lbs of the other stuff though............ :(

Not sure what they used, but Lee shows a beginning load of 37gr of H414 with a 150gr bullet with a muzzle velocity of 2164 fps.

I use H414 with 170gr, haven't tried it with 150gr. And yes, it works great in the 270. Nice to find something that works well in both!
