would you consider those two semi autos for hd? or should i just stick with the mossberg 500 pump?

here is the link im looking at, the first and 3rd shotguns:

i will be adding +5 mag extension. i like that h&r has 1 more shot but a slightly shorter compact shotgun is perfect for me like the stoeger 3000 compact.

o, how easy/difficult are these to clean?

I have had mixed experiences with both of those autos. If you get one that works well, they are decent guns. If you have one with issues, customer service is dismal from H&R and Stoeger. They are both sort of misfit brands of their parent companies (Remington and Beretta). Accessories and replacement parts are not easy to come by. The Stoeger being an inertia operated design will be easiest to clean, but more sensitive to ammo choices, and will recoil as much as your pump. The H&R is gas operated, so cleaning will involve a bit more disassembly and cleaning of the gas piston and ports. Neither one is very complicated to maintain.
The 500 has being doing defense duty for decades, and has tons of support from the manufacturer and aftermarket. If you really want an auto on a budget, I would take a hard look at the Mossberg 930, or a used Remington 1100 or Beretta 300 series.

If these are my only 2 choices, I would select the Stoeger as I have experience with that one.

But I like my 500 and consider it reliable and up to the job. I would prefer a used 1100, though, over the 2 choices given above.

well i found moss 500 extended mags 8 shot and 20" barrel for 100 bucks, ordered 2. but i would like to find an extended mag thats as long as a 28" barrel for moss 500.

99% of the time i seem to have problems pumping 870s. i actually still have one with a 10(?) shot mag.
