Had a blast camping with my Sparrow and Cyclone. Thinking about a QD 5.56 suppressor

Who wants to shoot any other way? No ear protection and hearing the bullets hit the target? Launching 3 .22LR shots at a bolder on a mesa 150 yards away before the first one hits :) Smacking boulders 300-600 yards away across a Canyon and getting some serious "hang time" :) I still have a grin on my face.

My research is pointing me in the direction of the new Trifecta RS version of the Specwar 556.

In a recent video about the Saker, SilencerCo said the Trifecta mount is designed for "door kickers" and for precision users would use their threaded attachment. They specifically mentioned the SDM-R.

Does this mean the flash suppressor mount is less accurate? Is the three-prong-length design of the flash hider cause inaccuracy? (I assume Wilson Combat has a patent on the Accu-Tac whose prongs are symmetric on the side exposed to the muzzle blast and eliminate resonance by having different weight and stiffness due to differing length cuts on the outside)?

I would use the QD supressor on a 14.5" piston gun I am building and on my SDM-R type build.

The ~ Mach 3 supersonic crack of 5.56 make it a much different experience than suppressed .22lr or 9mm.

I like the GemTech Halo it mounts to the A2 flash hider (although its a PITA to replace crush washers with peel washers). Since I don't feel any need for a muzzle brake on a 5.56, this saves the expense of QD adaptors and its pretty slick to slip the suppressor over the flash hider.

I disagree that its a pain in the ass on the peel washer mounting. It does take a couple of times screwing the A2 on and off, but really, it takes 4 minutes to shim and time a muzzle device with peel washers? Not that big of a deal.

I use a couple of different cans on my 5.56. I got one of the first Griffin Armament M4SD-II and it mounts to A2 spec flash hiders. Now, with that being said, it happens a lot that the A2 FHs are often out of alignment and out of spec and that will throw your bore off, regardless of how you shim it. I use Griffins brakes and comps as mounts and i really like the machining tolerances on them.

If I was to add another 5.56 can, i would go with the Saker.
