So I think the bottom line here is that a chrome lined "hammer forged" AR barrel should not command a premium price to an end user based on performance over a... milspec type standard chrome lined barrel?
That's about it.
Hammer forging is at base, simply another way of making a gun barrel.
It can be a great barrel or a crappy barrel.
When dealing with a standard "service" type AR chrome lined barrel, you probably won't see any difference at all in any respect.
