Handguns w/ SureFire-Happy Rails

Do any handguns other than the Beretta Vertec take a SureFire taclight without an adaptor rail? Things like the HK USP have rails but you still need to put yet another rail on it to slip the light on. AFAIK the light goes right onto the Vertec. What other pistols don't need any modification to slip one on?

Don't know about others, Skunk, but you are correct about the Vertec. My M3 slides on and off with no problems. None of my friends have guns with rails so I haven't tried it on others.

SFAIK, only USP's and P99's have proprietary rails.

Beretta Vertecs, Springfield Operators, Tactical Smith & Wessons, Glocks and most others use standard Weaver/STANAG rails...

Why the do use Weaver/Stanag compatible rails there is often variation slightly as well as variations in the surefire. I have put a surefire with out the adapter rail on my Recon rail on my caspian but it would not fit on the wilson.

Don't know about the others but my M3 slips right on my glock rails but is really too tight to mount on a 1913 rail on my AR.

Course he's talking about the surefire light so far all i know it could work on both.

I'm considering an adapter (GG&G maybe?) for my USP to convert it to 3913-spec rails. I already have a UTL, but if my USP took the M3, and my AR takes the M3, and my Winchester Defender takes the M3, and the Beretta CX4 Storm I plan on buying takes the M3....

Heck, if I could just get one for the P99, I could swap one flashlight between 6 weapons

According to the folks at Surefire...all light rails are not created equal....and I am not referring to the "proprietary ones.

Even the supposedly "mil-spec" rails on some weapons require slight modification of the surefire unit.
