I think the new year holds frustration, sadness, happiness, and joy. In that order.

1. A call to rational vigilance.
2. A chance to be active in politics and voice your concerns to your elected officials.
3. An opportunity to support the NRA and other pro 2nd Amendment groups.
4. Good times, to have fun with family and friends - shoot - and shoot some more.

Its not a time to bury one's head in the sand, but we have survived similar periods of uncertainty. Gun owners still have a strong voting block in our country. Elected officials still answer to those who put them in power. I honestly believe, when it comes down to it, they will vote in whatever way keeps their jobs.

Once i get a new job, I will buy an Evil Black Assault Sniper Machine Gun

And then an ACOG with backup red-dot. Yes, these have an ridiculous price, but if the Marines use em, its gotta be worth it.

I'm relying on hope that Obama will have too much on his plate with the economy so that gun prices will approach sanity...
