Harrington & Richard info wanted

I was at a local pawn shop today and saw a H&R double action revolver in 32 mag. It had a 4in? barrel, was blued and looked almost perfect. The price on it was $165. I have always wanted to try out the 32mag but didn't feel like spending the money for a more expensive gun.

What is the quality on their revolvers?

Is this a good price?

Basically just any generall info on H&R and this gun is wanted.

ps went and applied for a permit to aquire at the sheriffs office today. Will take seven business days to get it back I hate those permits to aquire. It cuts into my impulse buys.

JUMP ON IT!!! Sorry for being shy about it . These little guns are very well made all though simplistic. This is the revolver the .32 Mag was designed for. In Houston Tx I have not seen an H&R .32 Mag at such a price (they usually go for half again as much). I'd love one to keep my H&R 622 company.

I have a 622 like Kjeff, and if your .32 is anything like it, they're neat little guns.

Mine is very boxy and simple, but built like a little tank with surprisingly decent SA and DA pulls. Overall, a neat little exercise in absolute sixgun simplicity.

We'll let you buy it, but only on the condition that you post pics and a range report afterwards.

I lied its not a H&R, but a NEF model R73. I don't like to hagal on prices and ended up getting it for $155 out the door. I will be picking it up as soon as the sheriff gives me a stupid permit to aquire..
Are theses made with H&r's parts after the went under?
I never knew NEF made pistols.

NEF is H&R (or should say became NEF) and are now owned by Marlin. You can find parts for them at Numrich Arms or contact Marlin because they still make the starter pistols. Some of the internal parts might interchange. Give us a range report when you get your permit sorted out. I have a feeling it will like the 95 grn. SWCs.

They are very rugged guns, very simplified design, and the trigger takes some getting used to, but it should last roughly till the end of time.
I have had several of these in .22, and they were good shooters, and you can't beat the price.
