"The local range here doesn't allow steel or aluminum hull ammo so it will be a while before I can try this stuff out."

what is the reason for not allowing it on the range??

Probably because the range just rakes all the brass into bags for either resale or recycling. Both of those groups object to either Al or steel cases.
The recycling joints don't want the AL cases as they have primers in them (boxer primers being a pain to decap). So, they will cite liability issues about remaining chemistry from the primers when the cases go into the smelting furnace. Or so I'm told.

I have shot this Ammo. in a Sig P227 .45 a Sig WK-25 navy 9mm a Walther PPQ 9mm and a HK VP9 9mm. No FTF or FTE in any of my handguns, also it gets for me good groups. All my range requires is I keep it away from any brass this is easy using a separate container. HK has something about not using it but I called and they said it might cause ejection problems, but if just shooting at the range that was not a life threating problem as if using it in defending your life.
I would just never use this Ammo. as carry Ammo.
