Just wondering if anyone has reloaded for the .338 Federal. I love my Tikka T3 Lite chambered in this round, but up here in Canada factory loads are nearing $50 a box.
Apparently no one so far has loaded the 338 Federal. As you probably know, it's a 308 on steroids. Any of the 308 heavy bullet load powders will work well in the 338 Fed.
Go to www.hodgdon.com and check out the loads for it there.
As suggested, Varget, H4895 and several other powders do the job. A good caliber choice for use in Canada.
Good luck.
I've been loading 338 Federal ... gun I'm using is a DPMS semi-auto. So far it seems easy to load, I've basically been using data in the Hodgon manual.
