It's on a "History-type" channel. Last night they showed weapons of Germany during WWII and missed most of the show and want to own the dvd. They also cover pretty much everything about guns.

Have you guys heard of it? "Guns of the World". The dvd is not available on the historychannel.com website. Any help is much appreciated.

Yes. It is on History International (121 on DishTV). They replay Wednesday night episodes on Sunday mornings, check your listings for correct time.

If I'm not mistaken, it is a repackaged version of the Tales of the Gun series. Airs regularly on History International.

Perhaps you mean "Tales of the Gun," a series broadcast on the History Channel. It has 32 programs including "German Small Arms of WWII," all available on DVD. They're available either as a set of all 32 DVDs for $399.95 (available early in 2007) or individually for $24.95.

This is the series of videos that some NRA members complain about receiving from time to time along with requests for contributions. My recollection is that the NRA price is the same or lower for individual titles and that each one is accompanied by a bronze medallion commorating a specific gun.

Why not join the NRA, get the videos from them so some of your money goes to support the organization that helps to protect individual firearms ownership in the United States, get the medallion with each video at no extra cost, and then post messages complaining about it? And when you decide against carrying your part of the burden you can post a message saying that you resigned because the NRA sends you the videos. That way you get to have the best of all possible worlds and become a real American gun owner--the kind who grumbles, complains, and protests while criticizing those who do the work that allows them to own guns. :)
