Gun prices have gone up as I had expected---been watching Buds prices and many have gone up in price.
Been watching the Ruger GP 100 6"SS., it has gone up from $535 to $557 for an example:(

Uh, folks, it's not just guns that are going up these days...

Can anyone tell me the price of anything that's going down, except maybe real estate??

Now, now!!! You folks are mistaken.... Again. Our government (which is never, ever wrong) and the Fed. have been telling us all last year that there is no inflation. Therefore prices are not really going up.

Sure...

Buds sets their prices almost as frequently as a gas station. Prices go up, prices go down - its all in what they can get from their distributors. I wouldn't worry too much.

To put it into perspective, I bought my first handgun nearly 10 years ago. Was a P95 that I got for around $325. It was also about the only decent handgun I could find at that price range (good, because I couldn't have afforded any more at the time :)). Today they sell for not only that much or a little less, but there are also numerous options in the $300-400 range from Ruger, S&W, SIG, Kahr, Kel-tec, etc.

As odd as it may sound, to some degree we're living in the golden age of firearms. Back in the day people worrried about being able to afford A gun. Now we're worried that a small fluctuation here or there will impact our ability to get certain guns.

I'm right there with ya (if I could I'd love to be able to get an example of every general model of duty-sized 9mm ever made), but the sky ain't falling quite yet ;).
