I am getting a RugerGP100 with 6 inch barrel, as a tax time present to myself, next year.

I want to get a single stage press and reload, .38 as well.

I have never reloaded before.

I am going to buy a book and read it, I have watched youtube videos, and my good friend who I go shooting with reloads.

Dies, shell holders-if dies don't come with them, tumbler-if your going to buy range brass, caliper, bullets, powder, primers, reloading trays, a way to prime cases (i use the Lee Hand primer), some kind of media for tumbler-also put cut up dryer sheets in it to collect dirt from media-makes it last longer, a couple reloading manuals to look at different loads, im sure im missing stuff other people will be able to chime in or you already know what you need. But just offering some help. Get ready reloading is very addictive!!

Add to the list above a scale of some sort, your choice digital or balance scale.

.38 is a nice round to start with, straight case, lower power, and you can find the brass almost anywhere you shoot.

I suggest buying and reading Lymans 49th Loading Manual. I does a good job of teaching you the basics of reloading and the equipment needed along with the many options available in the equipment.
