Im trying to identify a rifle, but i cant seem to figure it out, i need your help.
Maybe, if it's an import, it would have the import company's name and location. You can tell it's an Arisaka by the screws on either side of the rear sight, which originally had fold-down anti-aircraft "wings" to help judge the lead when shooting at low flying planes. If it is a Japanese rifle would it have English lettering on the left side of the bolt receiver?
You're right, I just pulled my Type 99 out of the case to double check, and it's just a single gas vent hole on top of the receiver.Actually the holes in the receiver are for venting excess gas in the event of a ruptured cartridge. Now that I look again, the recevier has one vent hole, which would point to being a Type 99 (the Type 38 had two vent holes)
Its mostly surface rust, but when i disassembled it I noticed something very strange. The trigger will only fire when pushed FORWARD not pulled like 99.999% of other guns, I think someone messed up when they re assembled it, how can i fix that?
