I am having trouble locating a stock for a 1918 Carl Gustaf Stads Mauser. It has a cracked cheap wood stock on it (Not original). I would like a nice quality wood stock for it. Are there any ready made, or is this gonna be custom? The action has been rebarreled and chambered in .308... Is there a company that made these conversions?

Here is a picture of a gun that looks nearly identical, even down to the scope. The Stock even has the same cheek rest. Very strange.

Are you looking for an original stock, or a new sporter stock? There are several synthetic sporter stocks made. Ones for a Swedish Mauser will be listed as for a 96 Mauser.

Boyds

Boyds probably makes a Swede mauser stock. I see military swede stocks on ebay pretty often. I bet Brownells would have something.

It's pretty tough to find a good military stock to restore firearms to their mil-spec configuration. I'm always watching for Argentine or Swedish Carbine stocks.
