What would you do if you had a bushy and sig 556 in 5.56. Add one more 5.56 cause you have the dies, brass, powder and bullets or add a new caliber?

i voted before I saw the post.. if you already have a couple 556s then a 68 wouldn't be bad for the "collection."

i just never advise that people who DONT have 556 get 65 or 68 just because of the expense and availability of ammo. 65s and 68s are spendy and unavailable.

Maybe hunting some day but that I will reload. The rest would be for the range. I usually try to find a good deal on ammo to stock up on brass then reload. I have not priced bulk components yet. If I get the 6.8 LWRC then I would want to keep 1k back up and 500 ready to shoot.

How long are you planning to be on the waiting list for either one? Either one would be an excellent addition to a collection. I love the potential of the 6.8 SPC, but the ammo is more than .308 and doesn't seem to be very available.

Ammo and or brass are the only things keeping me from moving forward with the 6.8. I figure bullets will always be available. I am lucky to be in a position to get the rifle and mags.

Of these choices i would do the 6.8 since you already have two in 5.56

However, since you are a reloader may i suggest the 300 whisper/fireball unless you need to reach out over 300 yards.
