Help me find a HD/Security shotgun

So i am looking for a shotgun with these features:

Real sights, not a bead, with peep sights perferable

A 20" barrel with an 8 shot mag

12 gauge

Cylinder bore(this is going to be used with slugs most of the time so technically its going to be a ThrowBigChunkOfLeadgun rather than a"Shot"gun)

Any brand will do.

Cheaper is better than expensive.

I already have a Maverick 88 that i like, but the 2 things i dont like about it are the bead sights and i would like it to be a bit more muzzle heavy, hence the longer mag and the extra capacity would be nice.

What do you guys recommend?

Mossberg 590 works well. 8 shots, can get peep sights on it if you want.

Looks cool, except it doesnt come with an extended mag tube.

The 590 looks like the best bet at the moment, but id like to be able to have some others to look at.

I just got a 590A1 and could not be happier with the purchase.

I got it because it was what they used when I was in the Marines, and I knew they took a beating. The price is just an added bonus.

you are already familiar with the mossbergs, why change? i say roll with the 590.

Antihero, you have perfectly described the Mossberg 590A1.
- 20" heavy barrel
- 8 shot tube
- the finest ghost rings sights known to man IMO
- cylinder bore

My 590A1 (of course I'm suggesting you buy a gun like mine ) cost around $425 full retail. It will group around 4 to 5 inches at 75 yards with full power Remington Sluggers, though it prefers Winchester flavors of buckshot. Or Hornady TAP.

I'm using a Remington 31 12ga pump for home defense.

Probably not the best but it gets the job done.

Mossberg 590 with factory ghostrings sights sounds like it fits the bill.

Option number 2 would be a Remington 870 express with rifle sights and extend magazine.
