Hey all, from another garage sale box of gun stuff, this set of 1 inch QD rings and bases. Marked on the bottom of one base is the number 71. On the other are the numbers 62 and then 5 separated by a screw hole. Very nice quality machined pieces. Trying to figure out the manufacturer and application....the only thing I know is that the hole pattern does not appear to fit a Remington 700. No other marks or numbers that I can find. The lever appears to be in the Warne style, but that is a guess on my part. Ideas? Thanks in advance!

Considering the source I got them from, I would think it very unlikely. Lots of rings, bases, bottom metal, mags...you name it...all firearms pieces. Plus considering the construction, these are high end machined pieces. So the long answer to your question is that I very much doubt it. Thanks, though!

You nailed it. Now where can I find an application chart? The block marked "71" has 2 mounting holes which are space .335 center to center according to a quick glance with a caliper. The other has holes .855 apart c2c. Nice pieces, if I dont have something to fit them I suppose they will go to a new owner. Thanks again!

Those are first variation Warne QD rings. Single screw on top. They current Warne QD uses two screw on top and have a full length recoil bar in the base. Warne is local and I know several employees.

Those ebay rings are a special set for a Kimber, that's why the high bid. New Warne QD's run $60 to $100 depending if you go steel or aluminum.

Good info, thanks! Does anyone know how to "reverse look up" what the bases fit based on their bolt patterns? I have compared them against known units, but cant come up with anything close to the one that measures .335 between the holes. They gotta fit something!
