Help me out... barrel and caliber choice

So am thinking of rebarreling my .260 rem...

Choice is between a Lothar Walther or Border.. the latter is about 50% more than the former...
Anyone have first hand experience with Border barrels?


Also should I switch calibers? 6 mm BR comes to mind... then again I am fairly happy with the .260 as well.

Yes, a lot of people are shooting the 6mm BR, just probably not on this site. My shooting buddy is shooting really well with this cartridge. Personally, I would go with the Border barrel since it's a cut rifled barrel, and my friend JR works for Border. Good luck.

I would go with the Lothar, so fine. also, though I like the 260, unless you are doing comps of 600m or more, what is the point? I would rather a 6mm, or a 243, or a 6xc, or 6ppc, or 6 br. Preferably the last 3, as they are less to reload.
