I recently was able to acquire an FEG 9mm with one 15 round magazine for $200. The model number on the slide is GKK-92C and the tag at the store said "FEG Hi-Power Clone" I was under the impression that this was the hi-power clone with 100% parts interchangeability with Browning. I ordered 4 of the 15/17 round hi-power military magazines from CDNN for $15 a pop. When they arrived I was very disappointed to find that they would not fully seat in my gun and would not feed even a single round. All four mags had this same problem. I went to a local gun store and asked if I could try one of his Browning mags in the gun and it had the same problem. Does anyone know what magazines will work in this pistol?

The GKK series are based on the S&W model 39 series pistols. They look like double-action Hi-Powers because of the slide shape, but they are really S&W's.

I can't say anything about mags. Years ago, I owned a .45 GKK and I was able to get magazines from Forrest, Inc.

I think you meant the double stack 59 series instead of the single stack 39, but unfortunately S&W 59 series mags will not work as the mag catch cutouts are different. If you get desperate you could try a S&W 59 magazine and try to make a new catch cutout or modify the existing cutout. I seem to recall trying a 59 mag in my RP9K and although it didn't lock in the gun, I recall it fed OK if I kept it in place with a "cup and saucer" hold.

Actaully, the 45 GKK is a single stack, which makes it a copy of the 39. BUT, you absolutely right, the 9mm GKK (and the pistol in the photograph)is a double stack like the 59 . And yeah, they don't use S&W mags.

They are billed as Hi Power clones, as said, but they are their very own beast when it comes to parts and accessories, regardless of which pistol they copied. I have always thought it odd that they did not standardize on an established magazine design to aid in sails.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I will search the links provided to see if I can find any magazines.

Flinch, that does look like it would fit the same gun, but with those FEG NON-HIPOWER "clones", I would be a little nervous of purchasing a mag the wasn't specifically designated for the GKK-92C. IMHO. As mentioned earlier, the frame/trigger mech is a S&W 59 "copy" or imitation.

Howdy,

Is this the Gun? http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg131-e.htm I have had several Of the PJK models. One was a sort of Frankenstein, looked like a hipower but with different slidestop and safety. There use to be a FEG web sight so I sent them the information and they stated it was a transition model.
mayhaps you got a transition model of some kind..
