Hello,

I'm a first-time poster to these forums; so if this is the wrong place for this thread please relocate it correctly.

I have a Gamma III Safe & Sound pistol case that was purchased in the late 90s. It a solid steel box covered with cherry wood with a built in clock radio. Pretty cool thing IMO.

The electronic keypad lock has lost it's programming and I can't find the owner's manual. I've tried to look up the company (Google, Switchboard, etc) but am not having any luck, apparently they're out of business.

If anyone has a manual, I'd be happy to pay for copying and postage. Please let me know!

Thanks,
The Glock Lady

I suppose you've thought of this, but try "0000" That's usually what the factory setting is.

Good Luck!

maybe this will work for your safe (i have one too)

hey there Glock lady,

I was in the same situation up until about 10 mins. ago...the "0000" didn't work for me either. If you look inside, you will notice a small white button on the backside of the keypad...press that button until the red light, above the 9 volt battery cavity, starts to blink...enter your 4 digit code followed by #...the red light should blink a bit faster then enter your code followed by # again and you should hear a beep and the light should turn off. This should do it...give it a try...remember to enter your code followed by # to open it.

I lost my manual too, and I have had to use my keys for months until I tried fooling around w/ it...if it doesn't work try entering the code 3 times...the first time while you are holding the white button down. I got mine to work by trial and error, so I am not 100% sure if it takes 2 or 3 codes to make it work again.

Let me know how it goes...Good luck!

YEAH!! Team America comes through!! :) :) :)

DanTheMan, you are a genius! My beautiful little box is now working perfectly. I'm doing the happy dance!

Thanks!

well, I might be but it would cost you a LOT of $$! ;-)

I'm not willing to part with it, though. I think it's a great product, and I'm kind of upset that the company is out of business, because I'd like to get another one!

Oh, By the way GlockLady, WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!!! Ok, now that I've yelled at you, pull up a chair and stay for a while. I guess I'll just have to keep my eyes open for one of those Gamma III's.

Gamma III safe and sound...

Hi,

I need to reprogram mine too.

I love this thing... too bad they are no longer available.... Nothing even comes close!

I'll try this!

Safe and Sound - Gamma III

I would like to know how many people purchased the Safe and Sound from Gamma III and what they believe would be a fair price for a similar type of product.

I am familar with Gamma III start before the product was discontinued. I am glad to hear some of the comments on the product and would like to learn more.

Late Great Gama Safe

I LOVE my Gama radio/safe. Been on my bedside for years. If you could make something similar that had a back keypad so it wan't so obvious... but I love it like it is. One suggestion... other than making it a BIT larger inside would be a plug-in remote lighted keypad. If you heard something  you could keep the keypad under your pillow and punch the unlock codes under the covers so no light was visible. :what: Sell this as an accessory... Maybe offer in a black high-tech finish... but it really is something I have used every day. My radio antennae broke off years ago... but the alarm still works everyday like a champ.:D

Advertise and it will sell.

Paid $160 and worth EVRY penny. Would pay more.

Lost power cord

I have misplaced my paperwork and power cord for my Gamma III. I checked online but haven't been able to find the power specs. I'm looking for someone that can pass on the power information.

Thanks

Gamma II safe and sound not unlocking

Probably my fault for not changing the battery but my key pad does not work at all. There is a red light showing on the key pad. Any thougths? And I do not even remember having a key.

Gamma III

My problem is the same as silenthawk. I'm showing a red light on the keypad. My old combination doesn't work, and I can't recall ever having a key for entry. Any help would be appreciated.

Gamma III

I have a gamma III, and i love it but have you ever heard of it not locking??? It works again now just unplugged and works with no problem. But had a break in with the safe can not figure out how it was done (Need help to figure it out :fire:)

Clock won't keep time

Mine works great except that the clock is way out of wack. It loses 6 or 7 minutes a day so I can't really use it as an alarm clock. For that reason, I don't keep it on my night stand where it really should be. Anyone else have this problem? Any idea's on how I could get it fixed?

By the way specialk, the only time I ever had a locking problem was when I didn't have the contents of the safe arranged properly. It caused the lid not to be able to seat completely and it didn't lock. Once I rearranged the contents, I had no further problem.
