About to pull the trigger on a 6.5 Creedmore. Searching over older posts I see RL-17, H4350 and Varget is popular for that round. Anybody getting good accuracy from anything else?

I have H4895 on hand for my 7mm-08. Anybody using that in the Creedmoor?

Also what bullets are you getting best accuracy with? Hunting and target

H4350, distant second place to RL16. I’d stay home if I couldn’t find those two. No Varget - it’ll kinda work in anything, but not great for the heavy, high BC 6.5 creed pills.

R-17, H4350 and 760 has worked for me depending on bullet weights and guns. I have had 3 CM's. One was picky as to bullet and powder. Finally settled on 143 ELD-X over 760. Then I had a American Predator that was pretty good with anything. I had 4 different bullets of different weights that shot Sub-MOA. Tried 120 Barnes-X, 120Speer HotCor, 130 Accubond and129 ACLR. It liked all them. Never found a load that satisfied with Varget in any caliber yet.

I haven't tried it but I think you might have luck with H4895 and lighter bullets, 95 to 120 grain. Anything heavier and you are going to need something different H4350, RL16 or you might try something like Superperformance if you like to play. Hornady ELDMs for target bullets.

RL 17, H4350 & IMR 4451 in that order. Haven’t tried RL 16, but if starting over I’d likely be using that. For deer I use Hornady 129 grain and Berger 135 Classic Hunters. Nosler CC 140’s for paper.

I've used all those except H4895 with good success in my RARP.
H4350 >Varget>Superfomance>RL17. H4895 is on the list. The RARP likes the ELD match and X bullets quite a bit and also SGK.

When I needed powder to start loading for 6.5CM, there was no 4350's to be found... I substituted IMR4451 instead and have had good luck with it so far.
