Has anyone ever removed the front sight form a high standard HD military model? If so what did you find? Was there any way to re attach it.
What other sighting options are there for this weapon? I’m particularly interested in the front sight. The Ruger mark 2 sight blade is too high. On top of that the barrel diameter is smaller on the HD Military.
The reason I ask is because I have an HD Military with a messed up muzzle crown so plan to shorten and thread the barrel for a suppressor, but need a new front sight to reattach.
Does anyone know of a good gunsmith who just deals with HD Military Pistols?
