In the load data tables for hodgdon on the Hodgdon website for the 460 S&W mag, there is a "C" listed after some of the powder listings. When you move your cursor to it, it shows a temp.reading in degrees. I'm assuming that the "C" is celsius, but what is the purpose in a loading data table? educate me.

The letter C normally indicates a compressed load. That is, the bullet "crushes" the powder a bit in the case.

The cursor response is from your computer system and not the Hodgdon site.
C shows compressed loads.
