Hi all,
I would like to get a holster for my new .45. Anyone know of a good shoulder holster? I try'd one at the gun shop, but it felt too floppy, only secured at the belt and just kind of hung there. I figure I would go with a shoulder holster so it will be out of site. It will be mainly for back woods and some trips to remote AK. Even back woods here in W Wash, you still run into people, don't want to scare them, or ware anything that will make me stick out. I'm in the process of getting a gun permit now.

You're going to have to be a little more specific.

Is it a Ruger P90 or P345 in .45 ACP, or a Blackhawk, Super Blackhawk, Redhawk, or Super Redhawk in .45 Colt or .454 Casull?

Hey OP Im also a Ruger owner. I have the P90 and I was looking for a holster. I went to the Fort Worth gun show and found a gentelman that works for DL Bullard who said that they are willing to make a holster for ANY gun available including Ruger. I am going to be ordering my holster at the end of his month.

Just a little personal background, my buddy bought one from him at the last gun show and he loves it. He got the Texas conceal carry. I like DM'sDual carry because it can be used as both IWB and OWB... WOW sorry to sound like I work for him but I dont. Just a fan of his work.

You might check out some of the makers listed in this thread. The P90 has been around long enough and is popular enough that a lot of quality holster makers have models to fit them.

My own experiences with El Paso Saddlery and Desantis have been very positive.

The only other advice I can offer is to stay away from cheap nylon and generic fit holsters.
