I just acquired a Taurus .40 caliber revolver with a 1.25 inch barrel and ribbed rubber handle. I have typically used paddle-style holsters for my semi-autos in the past but this is my first mid-size revolver. Any holster suggestions?

I've never been a paddle fan. I don't think they are as secure on the belt or lay as close to the body as other styles with belt loops. I'm not that familiar with the Taurus line-up, but having the model number of the revolver will make it easier to get the correct holster.

High Noon is often one of my first stops since they conveniently list the pistols available for each holster model they make. They also have a very good "Questions" section covering a variety of holster design issues.

If you're stuck on a paddle holster, Galco makes some very nice leather ones.

I've tried paddle holsters, and for me they flop around too much. I prefer something attached to the belt, with slots or loops.
