I was at a gun show Sunday and saw something lying on a table in a pile of junk that looked interesting. It was a Ken Null SMZ shoulder holster. The seller had no idea what he had, but said it was for a J-frame.
After buying it for less than my lunch, I got it home and noticed two things.
First, it was unfortunately cut for someone smaller than I am.
The next thing was a little more exciting. The harness was marked:
"Seventrees New York City".
This holster and the mystery surrounding it have always intrigued me. It is said that the maker (originally Paris Theodore and later Ken Null) would not publicly say how the holster worked, but kept it a secret so as not to endanger the secret agent types that were his clientele.
I did manage to get it on (sans breathing) and it is very light and very concealable. The draw, once I figured it out is pretty damm quick.
I would like to keep it and use it. If it is a Null holster, I wouldn't mind extending the harness so it would fit. However, if it is an original Seventrees, I will not butcher it.

So, is there anyone out there who knows anything about the original Seventrees holster that can help me?

This holster is made of white plastic with a light colored Suede-type leather harness. It does not have the Null "Tri-Span" suspension system. It is a simple right-side harness with a cross strap that attaches to the belt. It is unmarked except as noted.
Except for a few minor scratches on the plastic and the small stain from me spilling my coffee in the car today, it looks almost brand new.
